Flying Honeybee
In my previous posts tonight, all the pictures were taken with my 70-200mm rental lens. I’ve been complaining (on here and to Leecy) about my disappointment with the sharpness of this lens. Just for kicks, I grabbed my trusty old 100-400mm lens to see if perhaps I’ve never really taken any sharp photos before. In the earlier shots of the Polydamas, I was disappointed because the details in the wings weren’t as sharp and crisp as I was hoping. Also, I have to admit, I didn’t really expect these photos to turn out real well because it was getting dark and the 100-400mm lens does need decent light.
Much to my surprise, these shots appear sharper than the shots with the 70-200mm, and those shots were taken in much brighter light. Previously, I’ve never been able to “stop motion” of an insect, whether it’s a Honeybee, Butterfly, or anything else.
